The Air Cadet League of Canada is first and foremost a volunteer organization, which is a partner in one of the finest youth programs in Canada.

A cardinal duty of every volunteer organization is to recognize those members – whether individuals and groups – whose work is tireless, effective, exemplary, and serves as an inspiration to others. Within the OPC, we have a further obligation – to honour those of our Cadets who truly excel in the program.

Each year, the Honours & Awards Committee, relies upon the input of Governors, Directors, Sponsoring Committees, CIC Officers, CSTC Commanders, Detachment staff, and others within the OPC community to make their selections. The majority of Awards are presented at the Annual Conference each fall.

As a record of achievement and to commemorate all whose work and accomplishments have been singled out for notice, the following pages list each of the OPC Awards and, wherever possible, include a list of each recipient since establishment of the Award. In a few cases, criteria and nominating requirements specific to the Award are included.

This section also contains nomination forms for awards. Note that some of these forms provide "digital signature" fields. You will not be able to type in these fields.

If you are familiar with digital signature technology and are comfortable collecting the required signatures this way, feel free to do so. The form may then be submitted electronically. Otherwise, the form must be printed to allow for a physical signature, and then mailed to the OPC office (or scanned and e-mailed).

Note: When reviewing lists of previous recipients, please remember that Air Cadet courses and Area groupings of Squadrons change from time to time. Trophies donated for a particular purpose or area may, at some point, have been re-dedicated because of such changes.
