After March break and after Easter this year, we will have yet another big event to look forward to in April. With research, guidance, training and practice… ideas are organized, presentations are practiced, and then, voices will echo from Air Cadets delivering speeches or prepping deliberations for the regional and provincial OPC Effective Speaking and Debating Competitions. Anyone who has participated in the competitions or have seen the Air Cadets in action in these two amazing programs will attest to the benefits that one derives in developing confidence, public speaking skills, leadership and citizenship in today’s youth. More and more cadets have chosen to participate in Effective Speaking and Debating, with high hopes of making it not only to the Regional or Provincial ES competitions but to the Nationals as well. Mohawk College in Hamilton will once more be the venue for the 2017 competitions to be held on Saturday, April 29th for Effective Speaking and Sunday, April 30th for Debating.

Everyone is invited to experience and witness the sights and sounds during these memorable events and show support to our Air Cadets and their mentors and trainers – squadron staff, SSCs, parents and volunteers, whose contributions are truly invaluable in the Air Cadet Program’s success.

Best wishes to everyone…Ad Astra!
